If I were a betting man, I would wager that corporations which rely heavily on art (such as the movie & games industries), already have legal teams working on ways they could put an end to art AI.
Once those corporations get involved, it will trigger a domino effect which will bring art AI to an end or at the very least neuter it into being just a mediocre gimmick. Unfortunately, many, many small artists will have their livelihood destroyed before that happens.
I personally see this AI Pandora's box going in only one of 2 directions, both of which involve corporations eventually suing the pants off of OpenAI.
