So if 99.9% of people no longer have paying jobs how does a UBI get funded, it would have to be a tax on companies using AI or producing AI, essentially ALL of the funding for a UBI would need to be collected by Governments from these companies, I just can’t see them paying more tax to keep the rest of us happy. Companies historically do everything they can to minimise tax, and if only a few groups are producing the ai they can exert huge pressure on governments to make them do what they want, if the government says no they will just deny ai to that country etc. the only way I can see this working is if the concept of money is removed, then there is nothing to collect, if you need something you just take it, from any number of places that are ai run and produce things that we want or need. I can’t imagine that being a smooth transition lol. Also, haven’t we learned anything since the beginning of time, the smartest person always wins, if your dumber, you won’t even realise your being out smarted. If anyone thinks they can control something orders of magnitude smarter than they are, they are dreaming.
