Public transit is definitely the most efficient solution! I just got back from Prague where you can buy a daily pass for $5 that gives you access to the subway, electric trams, or buses with quick access to any part of the city and beyond! Inter-city trains in Europe are also insanely fast, traveling close to 200 mph! Will Public transit work in the USA? Probably not, because it attracts violent and shady individuals that would scare most passengers. In Europe “normal” people ride public transit. It’s a different culture. So maybe Waymo is the solution here.
