Towards the end of this video was what most resonated with me when he said "driverless trucks aren't going to do anything to truck drivers, their employers will". Exactly. And why aren't these silicon-valley big business American capitalists realizing that the actual solution isn't driverless trucks, it's mass public affordable transit and light rail connecting our communities? Growing up in America, I learned quickly how dangerous, deadly and hazardous our federal highway system has become. Endless traffic, hundreds of thousands of fatalities each year due to car accidents on the freeways, but the capitalists want to save the world with driverless trucks. Kiss my ass. We need MASS, PUBLIC, AFFORDABLE transit options and HIGH-SPEED RAIL at every major connection across this country. And we need it NOW.
