We overestimate(d) things we know, and underestimate things we don't. Our hybris inflates estimates of progress so much that I still don't see cars driving autonomously everywhere - oh, and wait: I thought by 2000 they would be flying - and paid solely with crypto in 2020.
It’s good to think things through, but adding a factor of five to the timeline makes it realistic.
