Even if mankind could control AI, it would have to start with planning and cooperation among governments, academia and business. However, what are people using AI for right now? Some governments are using it to monitor their people, businesses are using it to out compete the competition, the militaries are using it to figure out how to more efficiently kill people and digitally attack the enemy and protect against such attacks. Criminals are using it to steal and corrupt and defeat law enforcement. The porn industry is using it to make porn. If we are "teaching" AI anything, it is that humans are just objects to be used or eliminated if inconvenient. AI has such wonderful potential
, but the problem is that we will make it in our own image. Once it is more powerful than us, who will have taught it that humans have eternal worth or any worth at all?
