I just roll my eyes when AI bros or people try to argue that using a digital art program & tablet is the same as generating AI images. See, the difference lies in the way you use these methods of creating an image. With the digital art program and tablet it's still my hands and head doing the work - I sketch, line, color and render my images by hand. Yes, of course the program gives me some help by having the option to apply different layer modes & blurring, but these filters/adjustments won't finish the image for me. It's still ME, the artist, who has to work until the image is finished, no matter how many layer modes or filters I use. And to even get to that point I had to teach myself how to draw on the tablet and use the program, and of course the general studying of anatomy, color theory and more to learn how to render. Someone typing words into an AI program is literally doing what any child above the age of 5 can do: Writing. You put in "red head anime girl with dragon" and the AI generates something for you - it's not YOU doing the work, it's the AI. The only thing you did was to move your fingers.
