The most prominent question in my mind after finishing this video is - what is it that an autonomous Ai entity would seek to accomplish? It seems to me that we have been developing Ai’s in accordance with human need or desire (to help solve our problems, simplify our tasks, etc). What would a totally autonomous Ai entity do with its freedom?
My guess is we have no idea.
Human beings are remarkably existential. We ponder why we’re here, what we’re doing all the time. What would an intelligence formed from human-based data end up doing?
