Lock Out/Tag out. Is specifically important here. It should also be noted that these robots can be sent to the “Service Position” manually without any help from maintenance. This is very important, as Robot Training takes time, but being able to do service them, makes it so that even IF The lockout didn’t work, the robots wouldn’t go to their work positions after freeing the stud. Where as if they’re still in their work positions, once that Stud is free the robots do this ^. But that’s really just a speculation. I have never heard or seen anything where someone Locked out a gate, and still had a close call or died. (Also should be noted it the TL’s responsibility to ensure what happened here, never happens. They called Maintenance and no one came. I get that can be annoying. But that’s also why you have downtime sheets. Companies value health and safety way more then some quota. They rather everyone goes home safely. On this same note, while marking the downtime down, after three minutes I’d be calling my TL to my cell. This is super important to know. As I’ve worked in a similar industry for a while now. And I’ve never heard of Robot 23.
