I always thought the ones belittling artists and the ones who try to create ai for your own art Sam to be quite heinous. What happened to you was so unfair. Copyrighted work is copyrighted work. We should have our work protected.
What should be happening right now, is that ai has their own dataset that they paid for, while artists work is still protected. That way at least there might be a place for ai and people, or only for awhile. IF ai does take over, as an artist I will take that L, BUT ONLY if the ai is using non-copyrighted work.
If things ever get to that point then society itself will have to change, especially economically. But still, there should never be a point in time where artists should not be having their copyrighted work and intellectual property protected.
