A camera 100% does create things for you. People 100% argued the exact same thing when photography was rolling out. There was a huge swath of artists who said photography wasn't art, just a tool. Read on Charles Baudelaire's objection to photography. You are copying the exact things from real life, merely arranging them in an appealing way in order to make it pretty. Most people don't own the things they are photographing, most don't 'make' the things they are taking photos of, and modern cameras don't even require people to process the film themselves. I get it, you like artists and want to defend them... but you will become a old fuddy duddy who can't get with the times. Anyone can do photography if you have a camera. Anyone can do calligraphy if you have a brush or pencil.... are they good? Probably not. Every tool EVER has allowed more people to do what few people are capable of. There is no world where you come out on top of this topic. Manually created art will still do well and have it's place. It isn't going to die just because a new media/tool came about, just like video editing didn't replace photography... just like photography didn't replace painting... just like painting didn't replace story telling. AI will be used to allow 'less talented people' to create and express things, and you will be howling at the moon. Like Charles Baudelaire, you are trying to protect artists, but it wont matter in the end. Artists will still choose their medium, and you will not consider AI true art, and that is up to you... but the world will move on, while you refuse to.
