Overwhelmingly, these issues exist primarily because we collectively employ capitalism as our political economy. Capitalism has distilled all of existence into a monetized spectrum, & logical progression shows that whatever doesn't sell doesn't need to exist... including humans. Which is why homelessness has only become increasingly pervasive & why AI & automation will only exacerbate the problem created by the adoption of capitalism. Socialism isn't just about human equality--it may be necessary for our collective survival.
