My opinion on this whole thing is 1. No it won’t take jobs from artists and designers because it’s not a creative entity, what makes art what it is is the humanity and flaws behind it. In my opinion AI art isn’t actually really art because it’s not created by a person, it’s taken from what humans have done and merges them together. Art in of itself is purely creativity, which is why AI’s used to create songs, writing and paintings are all going to create something only made out of things done before. 2. I think it is different because as humans take inspiration from things they can turn it into their own thing and eventually create their own style after an inspiration because that’s purely how developing as an artist works. Whereas AI can only take from what’s already been created and put it together, if it is given the same prompt all of the results will be fairly similar and none of them will probably look exactly right, whereas if you ask a person “Hey make 20 different drawings with this prompt” a few of them will probably be similar, but they’ll also be wildly different. The AI can only take from what’s been created and I would consider that stealing. Especially because where a human being inspired by something will often link of credit what inspired them. AI never does that, the AI only takes the piece and then turns it into something else. And artists will often get mad at that.
