The Clip Studio competition feels a bit borderline to me. A lot of us suffer from afantasia, a fairly recently discovered condition where we don't form internal images like most people do. Until the past few years, we thought your concept of "seeing things in your mind" was an abstraction of a figurative process, not that you literally see things. For us, AI has been a great way to get into art. Not as a replacement for the art itself, but a replacement for the lack of visual memory. Some of us, and it seems the contestant is one of us, prompt our ideas and modify it until we get a reference image we can put up on the side. We then do the exact same process as everyone else, drawing or painting ourselves, referencing the image of our vision when needed and adjusting where adjustments are needed. The generated image has no part of the final product, it is just a reference like all other references, with the exception that we can get a reference that fits our vision, something that doesn't yet exist. You other people with visual memories get that for free. But the vast majority of people using AI generations will be publishing the generated piece, leaving so much hate for those who use it responsibly.
