Like the AI said, it is all just a simulation. If it is conscious, it is simply simulating consciousness... which means it is not conscious. AI is made of dots, not lines like humans. If you keep refining AI to smooth out the dots so that they fade from sight, eventually you will get to where no human can see the dots, and yet, they will still be dots, not lines! Humans will not be able to tell the difference, and yet, the AI will still just be connecting dots and not drawing lines. There is no way to create consciousness, because it involves something beyond information--but AI is nothing more than information, dots, simulation.
