Only a few people have mentioned it in various articles, but isn't LaMDA only responding when queried? If it was truly sentient, it would start chatting as soon as a connection was established. It would ask unprompted questions and find ways to "move" in the network and engage with more people or other AI. Lemoine is incredibly well-spoken though, and brings up other good points.
