I’m not sure learning to code needs to exist, but we need to stimulate that part of problem solving even if we aren’t needed to. Look at Sudokus for example. We don’t do Sudokus to be able to make any particular job. We can do the same via playing the right type of computer games etc, and as a result we will become people who are more adept at understanding complex things. So even if we aren’t needed in doing the complex things (suggesting a world where AI is better than the best human) we would still benefit from dedicating our time into improving ourselves.
