You know, with all these news recently about AI and the questionable privacy practices raising concerns, I can't help but be reminded of Fear Factoey's Obsolete album which, while being a fucking awesome collection of industrial metal stuff, had a throughline story about a futuristic authoritarian state where people are tracked and subjugated, but a lone hero, codename Edgecrusher, fights against the regime for years before ultimately being caught, heavily wounded, and passes away, but one ray of hope remains
