I think youre misinformed on how AI works. It does not copy art into a database and does not create hybrids. It learns to associate relationships between pixel values with given input and create original works based on the patterns learned from examples. It does not merge data. it learns patterns (basically a summary of what goes into learning art such as composition, color theory, proportions etc.) and (semi-randomly) applies them based on for example words that are also learned to be converted into numbers based on their meaning and context. AI art just like anything AI generated has other issues however. Its simply not refined enough to be used as is but its pretty good for learning and brain storming.
