I find it interesting with Angel Engine that the person went 'from' AI to hand drawn...
Did the initial AI series help fund enough money to commission artists??? Did gen AI actually help it get this initial foothold? Can the 'use' of gen AI actually be 'part' of the message, the act of the art piece being AI generated to display the horrors of it? Someone drawing an injury on canvas with their own blood?
Is there say, a difference between drawing something by hand, and making a collage of magazine clips? Or using one of those spiral art toys to make spirals? Would AI art be less problematic if you had to physically crank a handle in order to produce it? Is setting up to take a photo, just a very very in depth prompt creation? Because the person clearly didn't make that image, the camera did, but the person placed all the pieces in order for the machine to make it.
Is the intention the only reason that makes generative AI a pact with the Devil?
