These generation models have peaked, and the peak they reached is about as impressive as a gifted toddler. And the problem is, while the toddler can still grow and learn, the AI models have chewed through the entire corpus of human achievement. They would need way more data, so much more reference material to get much better, but there is none. They have literally chewed through the entire corpus of human achievement that is available to them (cheaply) and there's still no more impressive than a child's artistic ability. And if openai wants to pay people hundreds of millions of dollars to go through old libraries and scan old books that aren't on the internet yet, that's going to drive the cost of these AI models through the roof. Venture capital is not going to want to pay for that because venture Capital wants to remove people from the equation not pay them to make the thing better. The party's over boys, AI can't get any better. Go home.
