Of course of bunch of code will never be able to have genuine consciousness/sentience whatever you want to call it. But AI will obviously be able to perfectly imitate sentience to the point where no one can tell the difference. Its not sentient AI that scares me though, its the stupid people who wont understand that its not REAL conciousness, and will campaign for AI to have rights and be considered real people. You know that shit is coming.
