Thank you so much for giving me some real hope about generative AI being a dying fad that will fall apart like NFT's did. To learn how unprofitable and unpopular it is and how it's running off the dregs of support investors are giving it in fear of missing out on what they think could be the next big thing... it gives me hope that I won't have to think or worry or explain stuff about this anymore. <3 PS I was loving that you highlighted how AI bros use disabled people as tokens to support their point without actually seeking our their voices or understanding their perspectives or experiences, and the comments on this from disabled artists have been really informative and good to read. I can't speak on the physical disability front, but mental disability has made drawing more than once a month really difficult for me --- it's something I'm trying to get medicated for and find a way around --- but I still pick up a pencil/stylus and put it to work and can make something I'm proud of every once in a while. If I can do it, these neurotypical AI bros could too if they put in the time or effort. But they won't because they don't seem to care about that, what their comodified late-capitalisticly posioned mind seems to care about is whatever measure of objective quality can be found in the end product, and for the low effort that's put in they get a result that's good enough. That's all that seems to matter to them :/ I can't wait for this to be over.
