If you regulate AI to the full extent of copyright law and do it properly, it will kill the AI industry entirely (good!) because of the reasons you listed. It's 100% made and maintained from stolen material - full stop. It can't exist or "improve" without being fed more material, and since none of these big corporations want to pay people for material to feed their GAI learning models, they steal it because it's easier to do that instead, and no one is holding them accountable. So if you want to regulate it, it WILL die as consequence. And we'll all be way better off for it ... once the massive global financial depression passes after 40% of the western economies collapse as the bubble pops. Good luck everyone!
