**takes a deep breath** there are some massive, ginormous "ifs" in there my dude.
1. Software isn't like making widgets in a factory, that you can just ask your "junior" employees to make software faster. Besides, making software faster isn't the bottleneck (if you want to stay in your factory analogy)
2. Knowing what to make for other humans is the biggest problem in software, building up context on what to make is another.
No, we're not going to see a collapse in the software engineering job market. bet.
Just go back to writing for black mirror, makes for a great script, but you have NO IDEA about software engineering, your doom and gloom makes for good engagement on youtube (and X). The job losses are not because of "AI", they're just handing employees (seniors) an AI assistant and expecting to work much harder because the market is tightening, eventually it'll relax and the hiring will be back up again.
