So, here it is: It's not true u re unprotected: U do have Unions & copyrights, aka a legal safety net. So, it's upon u a) to choose which of your work is public & which is private. Eg, u can't claim rights (and money) of a Bansky (famous street graffiti artist who "exists" as a fund raising account) ain't under the EU or whatever ISO codification. If it's public and not legally secured it's ppl's property, and alike to ppl getting likes or followers over a photopost of a street graffiti, the companies (including AI) are making or saving money by using free/"open"/public resources. 2nd: If they have stolen from u by violating "private" settings or "established" copyrights, u can suit them. And the 3rd misinformation came to my notice is the "AI can't unlerarn". AI "see" your art as data (numbers, maths). That means that even the self-fed models do know (have access to) their databases (and the primary sources/ feeds of). That means u can claim to except any piece of work u have the legal rights of and they haven't included in their database illegally (meaning they extract it from a platform u had consent sharing your data with) from their dataset. In a world of so much public content, AI will rob the artists sailing a potato for gold.
