as a consumer, i don't care about the ai vs artists drama, or AI vs any job paranoia. if ai can create things just as good if not better and do it cheaply, i don't complain. the artists can go to hell. yea it sucks that their art is getting "stolen", as in used as a data to train and copy the basic concepts but whatever, anyone can look up things on internet and learn from it, why not AI too. what i don't want as a consumer is a lazy slop that easily breaks down and is automatable so shitty people use it to shit out shit stuff on shitty social fucking medias. if AI develops really good skills and literally replaces real artists by making just as soulful and human art, and barrier for entry is really low with just as good results and it just rewards better vision, i welcome it with open arms, for now it doesnt, i WISH it did but it doesnt. you can ALWAYS TELL, and it just feels off overall. im ok with companies hiring these AI prompt inputters and just artists that include AI things into their workflow, but for now i'm skeptical of what they'll put out since what i've seen have been SHIT. it's the reason why i hate the "60 FPS" video upscales too, or fake AI frames in videogames. it just looks like SHIT and i don't want to deal with it until it gets good enough for my precious eyes to see the only reason i don't like AI now is because it's bad, not because i have anything against AI or automatization as a concept, i dont buy into "human work is dignity" bullcrap. everyone wants to make things cheaply and easily if they want to just create something, and everyone wants to buy and see cheap things and more better things. i dont give a shit. my work as a piece of shit buzzkill insufferable contrarian wont be automated anytime soon and if it does, good, then i don't have to write out these shitty fucking letters on computer just to get this simple idea across.
