Do you realize however that it is exactly those techno-liberal rich guys, like Thiel, Musk or Zuckerberg, who make sure those H1B visas are issued, and that the visa holders are paid half what others earn? All while making sure you, with your clearly Asian features, are angry with those fresh Asian newcomers and not with the puppeteers themselves? The saddest thing in all of that is what your thought process showcases.
All of this is by design, there is nothing inevitable in the entire situation really. Gen Z's have the right to feel down with the way job market evolves but I hope you guys learn to see how this is all built up with bs statements like "there will be no work for 80% of humans in 6 months", with the deadline being always set 6 months _from now_. How can we all be this gullible? You don't even need AI to deliver anything useful for everyone everywhere to give up already. Even though this is all nothing other than an excuse to make people do their work for less.
As a matter of fact, I got laid off as a writer, with my entire team, with AI _as an excuse_, back in 2022. And today I keep getting work to do as a freelance writer, as companies don't want to put their reputation to risk with some hallucinated content.
