I think focusing on weather it's "real art" leads to nothing. The real negative stuff is what happens on the internet. AI generates fast and quickly, and people act like a heart, pumping all the AI into all the veins of the internet. You go on google images looking for something, AI image, you search for a topic, tons of AI articles, you go on youtube, AI videos. AI this AI that, then AI starts training from the AI, and then you have AI incest, AI faults goes back into the training pipeline, and thus the abnormalities grow. I don't like how AI has became such an umbrella term, but there are good uses for it. Like pattern recognition in digitizing books, discovering cancer early, auto modes on cameras like they have in phones, reverse image searching, etc. Generative AI though no thanks, so much slop made by people, and even more slop made by AI. So much misinformation, so much error, so much of the same.
