I saw a game on itchio that started out with AI "work in progress" images that later got replaced with real art. I breathed a sigh of relief when they fulfilled their promise. I worry that people might start exploiting all these stories of people starting with AI and changing to real art, to start endlessly post-poning their promised "remove AI" update. I worry if people will start thinking that they have to output something that feels full and polished quickly, so they can get attention first before they put in more investment to do it without the shortcuts. And how many of those people will trap themselves in that spot and not move on? But I want us to have the ability to forgive people's early screw-ups, mistakes and growing pains.
