Hi Professor Hinton,
Good to see you after the many years since I was in your neural networking class as part of the AI retrospective survey course at CMU some forty years ago. My own academic area of political economy identifies the prime danger as the failure of the official political economy to pay the cost of its own sovereignty; basically, I see that democracy -- which is people-RULING -- is the root of all evil, only remedied by a provision of the necessities (the cost of sovereignty) to the people in general, so that they can form communist households as a bulwark against democracy at the level of the local republic, then at each level of federal union above the local republic.
