After all we are all so rich only due to progress getting thing made or done at lower costs by using machines and other advances to replace laborious humans doing donkey work to achieve the same results.
You are horrified as for once it is hitting a different section, the supposedly clever, jobs. The process is not new! It has destroyed livings and lives of manual workers and craftsmen serially for a few centuries. People who also hide in the supposed 'art' economy are also due to be automated.
AI inside humanoid robots will also take the likes of building trades, anything a human can do.
Ultimately, work will cease as a concept or human activity. Which is interesting, as with it goes the need or use of money. Robots make robots as needed and dig up materials to make everything with. Nothing needs paying for. I suspect all that will be needed is some form or rationing of 'rights' to use resources/pollute. Government issued rations tokens to use to have whatever you want to spend on.
It will be brilliant. The only problem is the transition, it will be chaotic.
You want a world of work as you are overpaid and rich from it.
