It's being specifically trained on work that's copyrighted or stolen from artists and these days even the data from artists drawing in Photoshop is being fed to AI. (There is a wat to turn this off in your Photoshop settings, but if you've been drawing in Photoshop lately and didn't know, AI has potentially been observing every doodle you make in there.)
