I'd like to present a different angle on this: To the AI bros reading this: Do not let the tech billionaires fool you into thinking you can't make art without a product that they conveniently sell to you. Humanity has been making art for tens of thousands of years. Why? Because we're humans! Art and music and dance is just something we do! We create because we can! It's not that this artist was "born with it" and you weren't. We were ALL born with it! You just need some practice is all. Your art doesn't even have to be "good" as long as you made it yourself! If my best friend handed me a really messing-looking drawing their brain farted out that morning, would I toss it out because it doesn't compete with Monet? No! It's going into a frame and on the wall! The neighbor's kid hands me a drawing again? Straight onto the fridge with the others! Please pick up the pencil, the brush, the funky-colored rock, or whatever you have lying around you. You're gonna find so much more joy out of it than some algorithm will spit out for you.
