As a 3d Generalist that also touches those new fancy Ai stuff, my suggestion is to not stick yourself at the Graphic design level. Learn 3D, motion graphics, VFX, then expand into hands on fields that uses those skills, for example: live events background video, projection mapping, video engineer. Learn coding, create websites, build products. A graphic design degree would be difficult to land you a job now days, even harder in the future, just look at the requirements on job postings. Graphic designer with editing, shooting, animation experience? LOL.
I am between a 3D senior and art director level and even I am preparing more back up plans. Graphic design is considered the bottom of digital art skill wise, so it's best if you move fast. Adapt quick, those who failed to prepare is preparing to fail.
