Its so funny that when we think about people losing jobs, you ask what should they be doing. How can you ever even think to define what someone else should be doing? What people should be doing is discover their individual life purpose outside of these labor jobs and live a fulfilling life accordingly. To get to know themselves, their talents, there enjoyments. Yes, AI will help us with that. yes, it will completely change the way we look at human beings, not as labor robots (because we will have actual robots) but as human beings with Value, with individual quirks, likes and purposes. If you ask me, all is going according to plan.
We only have one job left, only one: And that is to change the way we organise and distribute our resources and make them sustainable for future generations. There will be a spurr in creativity, in philosophy, in health practices. The future is looking beautiful and bright.
Some call this the apocolypse, but what we must understand is that the end of one thing is always the beginning of something new. Where a door closes, another one opens
