The point made about losing the junior devs is a good one. We were forced to let go of most of our junior staff because the AI was being touted as junior developers. No matter how much the seniors were trying to explain AI may help but it doesn't replace, it fell on deaf ears. Now we are so senior heavy, it's a major risk if anyone leaves. I'm not as optimistic that the tide is changing as drastically as this video indicates, but I do think it is starting to shift. It's bizarre to me that executives would be so stupid as to follow fads. AI may be a productivity tool, but it's not really replacing entire workflows.
