My digital art teacher has told my class their perspective on AI art that I think is unique and makes me more accepting of it. They told us how AI art isn’t going anywhere now, so society should try to utilize it instead of hiding from it. They also say how it art is also about creative expression, and while you don’t make the art by typing in a prompt, your ideas you put into the prompt make it artistically creative. As a digital artist myself, I don’t mind it being there anymore since it’s good as a tool for references and getting quick ideas, while I can still draw my own thing and put my skills into it. I’ve used AI programs for getting references for ideas of what I want to draw, and it still feels creatively fulfilling drawing things myself.
Because of my experiences, I’ve become annoyed with seeing people online treating AI art as completely negative and as something to avoid at all costs
