I was approached in 2000 by a corp with an offer to work on software for systems that were being researched towards being able to read human minds. I had worked a bit on a sci-fi novel on that subject and had the full story outline. I rejected the offer. I didn't want to contribute to arriving at that future state. These fools insist on going down this AI path despite all of the klaxons blaring and warning lights flashing in multiple dimensions.
