AI is still too costly to really be an economic entry point, and with all the issues and how it's made it's really not a way to make art on a budget it's just a way to make prompts or you just keep spamming generations until you get something right. Not even going to talk about disabled people using AI for art, you can make art your own way and it will be real art and your own expression, not just a machine doing it for you. It's good for a quick example or like if I want a good enough profile for a tabletop character I had in mind, I'd rather not push my own talent forward or find someone to give $50 for it, in that way it's almost a step above stock images or borrowed from a recognizable source. I'm willing to see it as a tool for a bigger project but it's almost more like a crutch or an excuse for not wanting a direct hand or learning to make art great.
