I am hopeful that artists and other content creators are able to sue for what is rightfully theirs and which LLM creators clearly stole and benefitted from. Even if you share family or other photos online, no LLM/AI company ought to use or benefit from your photos without a contract which gives permission and royalties (or a lump sum) for their use. May this also extend to job displacement. If LLM companies want to help us, then pay us. Billions to trillions of dollars are only flowing to the top and the rest of our species is losing even the very basics, e.g., autonomy, privacy, and opportunities, just to mention a few. Tiny addendum: $3000 USD for each author/artist is far too low for a settlement.
