Imo a huge problem is a lack of regulation and standardization. If all license plates had something that gave a signal all autopilots could read, instead of trying to make a computer see like a human, that would have helped. Also adding those same signal-bearing things to traffic lights and on sidewalks every so x feet to help the AI form a solid picture of what the world is around them. It baffles me that governments haven’t started doing this yet.
