You are painting all of AI with the same brush, no pun intended. Not everyone who uses AI tools is trying to shortcut their way to recreating images that imitate reality or that copy other artists' work.
In the first place, it remains impossible to copyright an AI-generated image, so "real" art has a financial advantage right from the start.
Even in your video, you offer that AI has trouble with hands - it has trouble with many other things too. But it also does something else: it freestyles; it hallucinates; it riffs on its collected data; it can output things we have never seen before and can put them together in ways no one has ever imagined. In short, it CREATES. [Are we trying to claim that a painting showing people with 7 fingers and randomly spaced buttons isn't creative?]
AI image generation does not involve the same thought processes and thus cannot produce the same result as human-generated art. If it replaces human work in certain limited contexts, well, too bad - no one buys buggy whips anymore either.
