I will always take the crappiest, recolor OC who just has a different palette and like flowers in their hair over AI generated stuff. At least I can say they went through the effort to trace it, to pick new colors, and to draw little flowers into their hair. At least it tells me something about the recolor artist. They like these colors, they like flowers, they like whatever specific KIND of flower they put in the character's hair. At least that is art, even if you could say it's heavily derivative.
