Raw LLM Responses

With all due respect AI is not going to take over the world. AI progression has slowed down. They have hit a number of walls of which most are economical. First they are losing money hand over fist. Secondly, to make AI good enough to get to the level people are afraid of will require a lot more gpu power that we don't have and if we did have it would not be cost effective. Where AI is hurting is that it already replaces humans in some capacity. It cannot do the job of one human but it can take a workforce of 50 and enable them to do the work of 100 or even 200. This is not the worst scenario to be honest. It means that in the end humans will get more for their money since a company can now produce the same product for less. Of course this assumes competition but over time it could lower prices. The problem is that AI is not all fun and games. While it might allow you to do twice as much it can sometimes send you on a wild goose chase if you don't know what you are doing. This is kind a weird problem because on one hand we need less people and AI really can do a lot of what entry people could do, we need quality people to filter AI responses. What this means is currently it's hard to get into certain fields but you could be in demand if you have experience. Over time this will force employers to employ entry level. In any case, we are not at risk. I work in a small office of 4 programmers and 6 content creators. If you had asked the office a year ago you would have gotten 9/10 saying that the world is doomed and humans will become irrelevant (I was the one outsider but I am the oldest). Ask those same people today and they would tell you that the future is very uncertain but AI is not going to take over the world and I would tend to agree with that. Where AI could become kind of scary is with governments as he mentions in the video. The reason is governments don't really have a restrictive budget and they don't have to make a profit. There has been some talk of an openai government bailout but even then the government would be given different services than you and I.
