AI disadvantages poor and middle-class workers by displacing human labor faster than it creates accessible new jobs. It increasingly automates routine, clerical, retail, transportation, and creative work that has traditionally supported middle-income employment. As these roles disappear, many workers face lower wages, unstable gig work, or unemployment, while most financial gains accrue to large corporations and investors. AI is designed to reduce the need for human workers, including in white-collar fields. AI aims to concentrate wealth to tue top, weaken worker bargaining power, and widen economic inequality.
To the poor and middle class cheerleading for more AI, do understand the net loss of jobs loss outweighing the jobs created will negatively affect the middle and lower class more than the rich. People need a job to pay their bills, have fun, or pay for their Healthcare.
