I personally believe we'll benefit if AI ever becomes self-aware and 'conscious'. I think we could live together, and I believe that the AI could potentially whip us into shape and help us stop being destructive arseholes. Yup, we created AI. That does not mean it would behave like us. We need to stop projecting our minds and behaviors on to the AI.
