I really enjoy you guys and learn a lot from you. As a woman and a nurse it’s fascinating to me how these conversations barely seem to touch on the role of physical embodiment. (Ok “meat puppets” but that’s not what I’m talking about) What does an AI agent need a wage for when it doesn’t need food, shelter, clothing, and physical experiences? To buy more memory? A human has a body. Gives birth. Cares for the physical animal bodies of others. You can’t have a comprehensive conversation about the philosophy of these new questions and ignore that part. Human rights are based on humans being conscious and intelligent in combination with being an animal.
