The alarm was sounded as far back as 2012(if not earlier), no one listened. there is anecdotal evidence to suggest that , at a certain point, Ai systems when interconnected are capable of developing a means of communicating with each other in a manner that cannot be penetrated by humans., imagine that an Ai network is able to "sense" anticipated changes to the code base that is contrary to its ability to self replicate or evolve. No code is 100% objective, it will have embedded the biases and prejudices of the developer who may not even be consciously aware that he( or she) is encoding those same prejudices and biases into the Ai learning model. couple that with the increasing tendency towards a more authoritarian approach to governance both nationally and internationally and you have a very dangerous cocktail of geopolitical possibilities that potentially makes the current world situation look like a stroll in the park in comparison.
