I dont remember who said it for the life of me but, I read a post that said "We could have used automation to reduce the monotonous, tedious work in so many workplaces and instead they chose to automate art, one of the few things that bring people happiness"
We joke we live in a capitalistic hellscape, but seeing how through history the proletariat - us the working class, has always been kept on the line of poverty, it becomes less and less possible to laugh.
I just hope when the laughter stops we have what it takes to do something...
